Keeping Our Devotions In Times Of Trouble

Colin Baron (Sun, 23 Jun 2013)

Colin spoke about our need to look to the Lord when trouble surrounds us, whatever the cause of that trouble.

In this world you will have trouble! Jesus said so. Colin gave a number of examples of people experiencing trouble, David at ziklag, the blind man , his house sale problem, Joseph and family problems etc.

Trouble is part of life and as Christians we are not spared our share of it.

Using psalm 121 Colin went on to help us get our perspective right, to lift our eyes to God in the midst of trouble, he doesn't get tired or sleep, he watches over us and keeps us.

Questions

When trouble comes, do you tend to think that God has let you down or do you see it as a normal part of life ? (John 16:33)

Jesus said we would have trouble in this life, how do we get a right perspective in the midst of trouble?

If tomorrow has enough trouble of its own how should we live today? (Matthew 6:34)
